Sometimes a ramp is not feasible, either due to the height of a door opening or the lack of room in front of the doorway prohibiting a wheelchair ramp. For these difficult situations a wheelchair lift, otherwise known as a vertical platform lift, could be the best solution. At Advantage Ramps, our lifts travel from 28 inches up to 4 feet 4 inches. and have a maximum load of 750 LBS. This is a perfect solution for a garage, porch, backyard deck or any area where space is limited.
Many times custom carpentry and site work will be necessary to accommodate a vertical platform lift. A concrete slab, a wooden platform with stairs or even a new doorway may be needed for your project. Wheelchair Lift Designed for Deck
Once an inaccessible back yard, we were able to create a thoughtfully designed deck off the back sliding doors. We incorporated an aluminum wheelchair lift into the design so this customer could enjoy her patio and pool as well.
