Portable Wheelchair Ramps

Portable ramps, also known as suitcase ramps, allow you to easily move or transport a ramp for your short-term or mobil access needs. These ramps can easily be folded and stored in a garage or trunk of your car.

There are many styles to choose from to suit your particular need.  When you need a one- or two-step ramp within your home or on the go, a portable suitcase ramp is the solution for you. Suitcase ramps range in size from two feet to ten feet and can also come with a slip resistant surface.  The portable suitcase ramps we offer are light to carry but heavy duty in strength with an 800 pound weight capacity.

A suitcase ramp does NOT, however, replace a modular wheelchair ramp.  These portable ramps are not equipped with railings so they are generally used to allow wheelchair or scooter mobility up a minimal flight of steps.

With a free design session from Advantage Ramps, you can determine the best size for you and, in many cases, get it delivered right to your door.

Installing a Portable Suitcase Ramp

Installing a portable suitcase ramp couldn't be easier! Just unfold the ramp and lay it down on the step. The hinged bottom transition will angle the ramp to the ground surface.  When no longer needed, simply fold the ramp back up, Velcro the convenient handles together and carry it away like a suitcase.

Anti-slip Surface

For additional safety, you can get a portable ramp with an anti-slip surface. This is good to have when the ramp is used for a steeper angle and is also helpful in areas that can become wet.

Don't do This!

Using these portable ramps at too steep an incline can be very dangerous and is not recommended. Be sure that you have the proper length ramp for the area in question. At Advantage Ramps, we are here to help you make the right decisions regarding your ramping needs.
