There are two fees associated with a wheelchair ramp rental: 

1. An installation and removal fee

2. A monthly rental fee 

 

Both fees are based on the size and configuration of the ramp so a needs evaluation and  ramp design has to be conducted before a price can be determined.  It is safe to say that if you need a ramp for one year or less, then renting a ramp will be your best choice financially.  When you start getting past a year or so, you will be around the “break even point” for the cost of the ramp.  If you get to this point while renting, you will have an option to buy the ramp if you want it.

 

RENT TO OWN OPTION – 

A great solution for someone who truly does not know how long they need a wheelchair ramp is the rent-to-own option, where you can purchase your rented ramp at any time during the rental period.  This program allows you to apply 70% of the total money paid for the ramp rental in the first 12 months towards the purchase price of the wheelchair ramp. This option allows you the freedom to begin renting while your monthly payments accumulate towards the purchase of the ramp in the future.  This option is also available for someone who chooses to buy a ramp outright but cannot afford the lump sum payment right away.
